MESSENGER: GRS Derived Analysis Products

The MESSENGER GRS Derived Analysis Products (DAPs) are maps of gamma-ray count rates or
elemental abundances derived from summed GRS data, each with a corresponding one standard deviation error map.

See Peplowski, P.N., et al., Variations in the abundances of potassium and thorium on the surface of Mercury: Results from the MESSENGER Gamma-Ray Spectrometer, Journal of Geophysical Research, 117, E00L04, doi:10.1029/2012JE004141, 2012.

The GRS DAPs are stored along with the GRS Calibrated Data Records (CDRs) and Reduced Data Records (RDRs) on PDS volume MESSGRS_2001. Please see below for direct access to the volume.  Only directories pertaining to the DAPs are listed below Alternatively, to search the archive for data that meet particular criteria, e.g. time and location, use the Mercury Orbital Data Explorer (ODE).
