MESSENGER: Ground Calibration Data

This archive contains ground calibration data for MESSENGER instruments EPS, FIPS, GRS, MAG, MASCS, MDIS, MLA, NS, and XRS. The data represent results of instrument calibrations before flight. These are saved PDS data; that is, they do not constitute a fully standards-compliant peer-reviewed PDS archive, but PDS is saving the data to preserve it from being lost. Saved data files are required to have only minimal PDS labels and documentation.

This archive contains a directory for each instrument's calibration data. Each instrument directory contains documents in both ASCII and PDF formats that describe the instrument's ground calibration. Each instrument directory has a DATA subdirectory containing the data products.

The calibration data exist as text files, comma-separated-value tables, fixed-length ASCII and binary tables, and FITS images. Each data file is described by a detached, minimal PDS label.
