Mars Express: PFS
The Martian atmosphere consists mainly of carbon
dioxide and nitrogen with a very small proportion of
water vapour and ozone. The PFS (Planetary Fourier
Spectrometer) will measure the global atmospheric
distribution of water vapour and other minor
constituents with greater accuracy than previous
missions. The PFS Principal Investigator is
Dr. Davide Grassi,
Istituto di Fisica dello Spazio Interplanetario, Rome,
Italy.
The primary source for PFS data is the
ESA Planetary Science Archive.
Through a cooperative agreement between ESA and NASA,
the PDS Geosciences Node is hosting a copy of the PFS
data archive.
